This China Privacy Notice (“Notice”) supplements the general privacy notice of Chart Industries, Inc. available at https://www.chartindustries.com/privacy-policy (“General Notice”), and applies to personal data collected by any Chart entities located in mainland China as indicated in Annex 1 of the General Notice (collectively “Chart China Entities”, and each a “Chart China Entity”).
Chart China Entities do not operate, control or manage the website https://www.chartindustries.com/ and therefore, this Notice does not apply to any personal data collected or processed through the website, including the website in Mandarin, regardless where the users and visitors of the website are located.
For purpose of the personal data subject to this Notice, each Chart China Entity is the respective data controller (or “personal information handler”), as set out under the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, of the personal data collected by such Chart China Entity.
Chart China Entities do not collect or process most of the categories of personal data described under Section 2 of the General Notice. Instead, Chart China Entities process mainly contact information and work-related information about employees of, or individuals relating to, our customers, suppliers and other business partners, such as name, work phone number, mobile number, email, address, job title and description, employing company, employing department, work location and country, that are provided by you voluntarily or by the companies you work for or have business relation with. We will collect or process the above categories of personal data only to the extent necessary for the purposes described in Section 3 of the General Notice.
For safety purpose, we may also collect certain personal data of you if you are a visitor to our premises, such as name, contact number, date and time of arrival/departure, job title, employing company, purpose of visit, contact person in Chart. Your images may also be captured and collected by our surveillance cameras installed only for public security purposes.
Please be aware that we will not actively collect any of your sensitive personal data or any personal data that are not listed under Section 2 and please do not provide any sensitive personal data to us. If you voluntarily disclose any sensitive personal data or other personal data not listed under Section 2 to us, we will not purposefully store or process such personal data, nor will we have any obligation to protect such personal data.
In principle, the personal data we collect and generate within China will be stored in China. As a multinational company, however, Chart has entities, executives and employees around the world. In order to perform contracts and manage business relationship with you and the companies you work for, certain of your personal data (including your name, contact number, email address, name of the company that you work for and position) may be transferred to other Chart group entities as listed in Annex 1 of the General Notice in the US or other countries outside of China.
Besides transferring to other Chart group entities, we may also transfer your personal data to third parties acting as data processors as permitted by law. Before making such transfer, if needed, we will provide you with specific information and/or obtain your specific consent as required by law.

When required under applicable law, we will seek affirmative consent from you before making material changes to the way we handle personal data previously collected from you.
