Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch

Formed in 1899 and part of Howden since 2017, Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch (KK&K) compressors serve gas applications within industrial production such as chemicals and metals.

Available as single stage and multistage the compressors can serve high flow requirements up to 600,000 m3/h and pressure rise of up to 3.5 within a single stage or 6 for multistage.

SF Series

The SF series is a range of single-stage centrifugal turbo compressors with an overhung, semi-open impeller (3D design), supported by a separate bearing pedestal, direct driven or provided with a separate gearbox. With this design, featuring highest rigidity and optimised rotordynamic behaviour, the SF series serves the most demanding duties in its industries - like compression of corrosive, erosive and sticky gases and suitable for installation in harsh environments.

Gas flows up to 600,000 m³/h can be handled. It sets the benchmark for safety and reliability, at lowest lifecycle costs, in favour of their owners.

The SF series is optionally available in a design compliant to API Standard 617, Part 1 & 2.

SF Series

SFG series

The SFG series is a range of integrally geared single-stage centrifugal turbo compressors. The semi-open impeller (3D design) is overhung mounted directly onto the high-speed shaft of the gearbox. Due to this design and the resulting minimum mechanical losses, the SFG series offers a very high efficiency and is the preferred solution for demanding duties in clean process gas or air service applications, even in harsh environments.
Gas flows up to 250,000 m³/h can be handled. It provides state-of-the-art safety and reliability at lowest lifecycle costs to their owners

SFG series

SL Series

The SL series is a range of single-stage centrifugal turbo compressors with a semi-open impeller (3D design) mounted between the bearings. The SL series is designed to meet the most demanding duties in coke oven gas applications, especially to handle rotor unbalances caused by the sticky cokery gases. Its design features, such as the gas inlet and outlet facing downwards, the self-cleaning, semi-open impeller and the rotor turn drive, enable this compressor to handle the built-up of tar from the coke oven gas. Consequently, the SL series serves the most demanding duties in cokeries all over the world and provides top class safety and reliability at low lifecycle costs to their owners.

SFG Multistage Twin

RS Series

The RS series from CKD is a range of vertically split (barrel type) centrifugal compressors. The compressor includes an assembled flow path placed in a cylindrical vessel with heads for high pressure applications. The compressor design features the highest level of reliability minimizing downtime and is designed for ease of maintenance.

The RS is designed to suit all environments with demanding conditions.

It is optionally available with “Cuboid” design allowing max. discharge pressures up to 200 bar.

RS series Compressors

The RV series from CKD, with its configuration related sub-series RP and RM, is a range of centrifugal compressors with horizontally split casing, designed for flammable, toxic or explosive gases for low pressure applications.

The compressors can be designed as back-to-back solution according to requirements and is optionally available compliant to API Standard 617, Part 1 & 2.

  • Flow rates from 400 up to 85,000 m³/h (170,000 m³/h for back-to-back solutions)
  • Pressure ratio up to 10.0 (one body, heavy gas)
  • Max. discharge pressure up to 35 bar
  • Flexible sealing arrangements with contact type oil seal, floating ring oil seals or dry gas seals
  • Provided with up to two intercoolers / refrigerating compressors
  • Standard or bespoke packaging solutions available
